Life in the baby lane

A month has passed since last I wrote. Time really flies. Emily's now six weeks old and has now passed her "peak crying" period (so we hope; she's been quite cranky the last few days, although thankfully, the nights have been all right). We've been kept quite busy, and so haven't really had time to post anything here. Our daily schedule is now:

3-4am: Emily wakes up hungry and with a nappy that requires maintenance
7.00 Kalle wakes up
7.30 Emily wakes up
7:31 Anna wakes up
Feed Kalle (15 mins) + Emily (1h).
8.00: Sneak off to work (Kalle).
8.00-5pm: Anna: Cuddle Emily to keep her happy. Feed Emily. Repeat over and over (interspersed with the occasional nappy change and a couple of 5 minute meals) until Kalle comes back from work*.
5pm Kalle+Anna: Cook and eat to the sounds of a crying baby. Feed Emily. Cuddle Emily until she finally falls asleep at about 8.30pm.
9pm: Wake Emily up for a final feed.
10pm: put Emily into her cot, where she falls asleep.
10.15pm: watch TV.
10.30pm: Brush teeth, then crash into bed...

*One of the following activities might occasionally be included in the schedule above: bath (Emily), shower (Anna), breakfast (Anna), play in the baby gym, go to pharmacy/doctor/maternal&child health checkup/mother's group/etc, OR a long walk with the pram. In the weekends we sometimes have time to do other things, such as entertain visitors or go to a cafe.

Below are a few photos of the activities described above:
I love my mummy

Baby boot camp I: practising push ups

Bathing in the new tub

Shhcuzzze mee bartender! I'll have another glass of that delicious milk, please. Wait, make it a double!
What do you mean -- no, I haven't had too much to drink! Really, I just have big bones.
Yes, I do look like one of the characters in Star Wars, but that's not me.

I'm exhausted after all that eating...

Out and about with the pram. Winter is coming...

Baby boot camp II: Showing off my push up skills to my friend Melissa.
She's four times my age, but I try to keep up. Or at least not drool. Too much.

Anna's colleague Monica came by for a visit

Cuddle time with daddy. The dress was a gift from my colleagues Kurt and Ingela
Overall, I'm quite happy with life
